Funeral Home Owner
Jolene was born and raised in the small town of Fall River, WI. She met her husband Robert while attending mortuary school. Jolene and her husband Robert live next door to the funeral home in Harrison and have two daughters: Lydia and Gertrude "Gigi." Jolene enjoys gardening, hunting (deer and elk), golfing, and vacationing with her family.
Jolene graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1998. She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Ohio and Indiana, and a courtesy card holder in the state of Kentucky to help serve families in Southwest Ohio, Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky areas.
Funeral Director / Embalmer
Jack Wenning joined Brater Funeral Home in January of 1996. He has been licensed as a funeral director and embalmer since 1971. With over 50 years of dedicated service to the funeral practice he is considered one of the best in the area when it comes to embalming. Families tell us many times people look like they could sit up in the casket they look so real.
Jack does an amazing job and a great co-worker to lighten the mood.
Funeral Assistant
Rick Dole has been working for Brater Winter for many years. He took over for his dad, Freddie Dole, who worked for many years. Rick and his wife, Debbie, live in Harrison Township. He is a Harrison Township Trustee, active in the Harrison Community and a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. In his free time he enjoys camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral Assistant
Jim has worked at Brater Winter Funeral Home for many years. Even though he is semi-retired he will always work funerals for friends. He is active in the Harrison Honor Guard, American Legion, VFW and AmVets and is a blessing to our community and our funeral home.
Funeral Assistant
Don has been working as a funeral assistant for Brater Winter since 2019. Don is a member of St. John's Catholic Church and also drives bus for Southwest Local Schools. Don does a great job welcoming families and helping on funerals.
Bookkeeper
Beth Viel has been a wonderful asset to Brater Winter Funeral Home. She is not just our bookkeeper she also helps in the office when we get busy. She is married to Jeff Viel and they live in West Harrison with their two children Aaron and Emma. Beth was raised in Harrison and knows many of the families we serve in the community.
