Many people have questions about hospice and who to call. There is a misconception that Hospice is only for Cancer patients. Those that are eligible for hospice care if they have 6 months or less to live (some insurers or state Medicaid agencies cover hospice for a full year). Unfortunately, most people don't receive hospice care until the final weeks or even days of life, possibly missing out on months of helpful care and quality time. Sometimes doctors work with certain hospice programs and they tell you to call certain hospice programs. This can lead to longer times for Nurses and helpers to get to you. Below is a list of local Hospice programs.
If you are unsure about who to call just reach out and ask for help.... It's that easy.
