Walter Joseph Mueller II, of Harrison, passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 78.
Walt was born on August 28, 1945 in Miami Beach, Florida to Walter Joseph and Flora Marie (nee Cook) Mueller. His dad was stationed at a Naval Base in Miami and they relocated back to Cincinnati and lived in South Fairmont. They later moved to a house on Hayes Road that his father built for the family. His dad passed away when Walt was 15 and since his mom didn't drive he was able to get his drivers license early. He graduated from Oak Hills High School and went to work for Sieve Pontiac. This is where his love of Pontiac's started. Walt went on a double date with a friend and met his future wife, Mary Ann Wimmel. They dated for 2 years and married on April 12, 1969. Walt and Mary were blessed with two children Jennifer and Jeff. Walt was a proud member of Sheet Metal Worker's Local Union 141/24 for over 55 years. His last week on the job he was able to work side by side with his son Jeff at P&G on projects. Many of Walt's co-workers have called the family to tell them how Walt (aka Uncle Wally) was a great mentor and that he was always a perfectionist and expected the best from himself and those he worked with.
Walt only took a few vacations with his family because he enjoyed the comfort of being at home with his family and working on his cars... typically a Pontiac or his 1974 TransAm.
Walt always stepped up to help care for family members during times of illness and always made those comfortable during their times of difficulty.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years Mary Ann Mueller; children: Jennifer (Jeff) Walker and Jeff (Linda) Mueller; cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Kaylee & Joshua; sister-in-law: Sherry Mueller and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Walt was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Flora Mueller; brother: William Mueller ; infant sister; brothers-in-law: William, Ronald & Michael Wimmel; sister-in-law: Ruth Wimmel.
