Ronald Bien Obituary

Ronald William Bien of Harrison, passed away on March 9, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Cletus William and Sylvia Ann (nee Schmidt) Bien. Ron married Mary Frances "Francie" Schneider on June 23, 1979 and they were blessed with 5 girls: Kelly, Lori, Kristen, Rebecca, and Brittany. He worked for Hamilton County Communications Center. He was a police officer for Springfield Township and then he moved on to become a dispatcher for Hamilton County and moved up to be the Telecommunications Manager which is the position he retired from in 2017. He dealt with a lot of change in 36 years with the Hamilton County Communications Center, but was always willing and committed to helping implement change. Ron enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was proud to say that he rode in all 48 continental states. Ron taught his girls about integrity, honesty, how to be self-sufficient, what it meant to be committed and to always be professional. He also valued and taught others about charity and giving back. Each year he would help Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly deliver food to the elderly shut-ins around Cincinnati. He took his girls along and this became a favorite father/daughter adventure for many of his girls. Ron always saw the best of everyone and could always cheer you up with a smile and a laugh. Please bring your favorite memory of Ron written out to share with his family at the visitation. There will also be paper and pens for you to write out your memories and what he meant to you at the visitation.
