Robert J Doyle, Jr.

Robert John Doyle Jr., of Harrison, passed away on October 17, 2021 at the age of 53. He was born on April 2, 1968 in Cincinnati to Robert John Sr. and Harriett (nee Rolfes) Doyle. He was a 1986 St. Xavier graduate.  Robert worked as a Chemical Operator at BASF from 1999 until his medical leave in 2016. He married Marissa Spurgeon in 2003. Robert enjoyed being involved in the Scouts.  He was Scout Master for BSA girls troop 1693 United Methodist church Bright/Logan Indiana. Current Assistant Scout Master for BSA troop 693 United Methodist church Bright/Logan Indiana.  Robert enjoyed playing Euchre on Thursday's at Diversion, camping and hiking, and attending the American Indian Traditional Pow wow's of the Miami Tribe, which his wife and children belonged. He also had a great sense of humor and was always telling jokes. He was also a Kidney Transplant recipient in 2017. 

His memory will live on with his wife: Marissa (nee Spurgeon) Doyle; children: Alyssa Estep, Robert "Robby" Doyle III and Carolyne Doyle; parents: Robert Sr. and Harriett Doyle; siblings: Patrick Doyle, Laura Doyle, Brian (Shannon) Doyle, Katie Doyle, Sarah (Mike) Meinking; nieces & nephews: Kenny Merchant, Samantha Meinking, Sean Doyle, Austin Meinking, Alexandria Meinking, Joselyn Meinking, Anthony Doyle, Georgia Doyle and Suzanne Doyle. Also survived by father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Donald Spurgeon & Christine (Steve) Bowyer; brother-in-law:Christopher Bowyer and many cousins, aunts and uncles. 

Preceded in death by his nephew: Bobby Doyle.

Gathering of friends will be at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison Ohio on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 2 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 5 pm.
