Myla Strunk Obituary

Myla (nee Thompson) Strunk, of Crosby Township, passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 88.  She was born on September 29, 1933 to George and Matilda (nee Wurtzelbacher) Thompson. She married Warren I Strunk and they were blessed with two children: Warren and Sharon.  Myla was a true homemaker of her time.  It made her happy to care for her husband and children.  She made the best homemade noodles, which many in the family have tried to recreate unsuccessfully.  Myla enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals.  She was a Bengal season ticket holder from 1960-s to 2000 and cheered through the ups and downs.  Myla was active in the Crosby Senior Center and enjoyed playing chair volleyball when her health allowed. Most important to Myla was her beloved family.

Myla will be fondly remembered by her children: Warren (Deborah) Strunk and Sharon (Larry) Decker; cherished grandchildren: Josua Strunk, Kristina (James) Bond, Brandon (Sasha) Decker and Karrie Decker; beloved great grandchildren: Alex and Shelby Bond, and Collins Decker and twins on the way.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Warren Strunk; parents: George & Matilda Thompson; siblings: Mary Ann Reedy and Ida Jane Tillman.
