Mary K. Nachtrab (née Becker) Age 70, of Montgomery, passed away April 7, 2014 at Hospice of Blue Ash. She was born August 23, 1943 in Dayton Ohio to Henry Norman and Ruth (nee McMahon) Becker. Mary also had two sisters Marcelena and Norma. She graduated Fairmont High School in 1961 and furthered her education and received Bachelors degree in Education. She married Bernard Nachtrab on July 10, 1965. They had three children: Christopher, Daniel and Kathryn. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend. She taught American History and Government at Fairfield High School for 20 years and tutored at Purcell Marion High School.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years: Bernard Nachtrab; sons: Christopher (Peggy), Daniel (Niki) Nachtrab and daughter Kathryn (Craig) Keller; devoted sisters: Marcelena Young & Norma (Charles) Beck; wonderful grandchildren: Rebecca, Maggie, David, Cara, & Ian Nachtrab, Allison & Charlie Keller.
Preceded in death by her parents: Ruth and Henry N. Becker, brother-in-law Monroe Young, & granddaughter Annie Christine Keller.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9th at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill from 4 PM to 7 PM time. Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Thursday, April 10th at 10 AM. Family will receive visitors before Mass beginning at 8:30am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lavatus Powell Scholarship Program, Purcell-Marian High School, 2935 Hackberry St. Cincinnati, OH 45206. If you plan on sending flowers, please send them directly to Hodapp Funeral Home. You may bring your donation to the visitation or Mass and give to a funeral home representative.
