LaVadis Rae Barrott

LaVadis Rae Barrott (nee Bourquein), of West Harrison, passed away April 19, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born on January 14, 1933 to William and Edna (nee Maucher) Bourquein in Franklin County, Indiana. She married Eneas L. Barrott, Jr. and together they were blessed with four children. Rae enjoyed the outdoors, listening to the birds' chirp, and gardening. After retiring from Lazarus, she became an avid watercolor artist and composed poetry. Rae was very active at First Christian Church; singing in the choir and an active participant in the Bible Study group.

Rae is preceded in death by her husband: Eneas Barrott Jr.(Bud); her daughter: Anna Karyn Miller; her sisters, Melba Jean Scherer and Ann Margaret and her parents; William and Edna Bourquein.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Wendy Barrott (John Lydick), Michael Eneas Barrott, and Kathryn Jean (Stephen) Sutter; her beloved grandchildren: Christopher (Kristina) Barrott, Eric M. Miller, Cameron Byrd, and Alyssa (Timothy) Knapp; her great-grandchildren: Conner, Isaac, & Eli Knapp, Jonah Byrd, Aldan Santana, and Jessica & AJ Gallager; and her sister: Evelyn (Glenn) Schlemmer.

Visitation will be at Brater Winter Funeral Home, Tuesday April 23, 2019, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, Ohio, from 4:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 6:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to PAWS of Dearborn County or Legacy Christian Church. You may bring your donation with you to the visitation and a funeral home representative will be able to assist you. If you are unable to attend, please mail your memorial to the funeral home.
