June A (Hensler) Cushing

June (nee Hensler) Cushing, of Sayler Park, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2021 at the age of 69.  She was born August 14, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Paul, Sr. and Mary (nee Wanner) Hensler.  June became the mom of Doug and she did everything to make their lives better.  She was a hard worker and taught by example how to keep those you love close.  She had a small circle of friends however, they were the best.  She met Robert “Cush” Cushing and they married on July 19, 1982.  June became the bonus mom to Bob’s 5 children.  Bob and June enjoyed fishing the Ohio River.  June also enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb.  She worked for a local florist because she liked it so much.  June also enjoyed being outside and when Bob had his side job as a lawnmower repairman, she would cut lawns for the people who’s lawn mowers were broke.  Needless to say, she was smart. 

June is reunited with her beloved husband Robert “Cush” Cushing (passed March of 2020); parents: Paul and Mary Hensler; siblings: Paul Hensler, Jr. and Darlene Stevens.

Loving mother of Doug (Karen) Hensler; bonus mom of Robert, Ryan (Beth), Ron (Fran) Cushing, Connie (Chris) Carrion, Chris (Joe) Cauley; loving grandma of 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; beloved twin sister of Jane (Jack) Watkins and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her brother-in-law: Jim (Karen) Cushing.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, 45233 on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 3:00 pm until the time of the blessing service at 4:00 PM.

The family asks that memorials be made to American Cancer Society.  This is a charity dear to their heart as a family member is battling this horrible disease.
