John B Lee

John B. Lee, of Sayler Park, passed away at his home on September 26, 2020 at the age of 92.  He was born on Feb.12, 1929 in Baisden, West Virginia to William and Causby (nee Mounts) Lee.  He was one of 14 children ofNoah and Causby.  Johnny served as a Corporal in the US Army from Sept 1948 until May 1952 and received a Purple Heart for his bravery.  He Married Hazel on April 11, 1952 and they were blessed with two children Terri and Gary.  Johnny worked for the City of Cincinnati Fire Department until his retirement. After Hazel's death he married Eloise on June 19, 2010.   He enjoyed golfing at Fernbank Golf Course and was good at finding golf balls (since he has a ton in his garage.)  
John was preceded in death by his wives: Hazel Lee and Eloise Lee; parents: Noah and Causby (nee Mounts) Lee; and siblings.
Survivors include his son Gary (Marilyn) Lee; daughter: Terri (Mike) Burlage; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 6 stepchildren.

Gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, OH 45233.  Everyone is asked to wear a mask and if you have felt sick or have been around anyone showing signs of COVID 19 we ask that you stay home.

The family asks that donations in John's memory be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Cincinnati Fire Museum.  This can be done during the gathering by giving to a funeral home representative.
