Janet Mossman

We are sad to announce the passing of Janet Mossman, age 84 of Sayler Park, on September 23, 2019. She was born on October 12, 1934 to Jesse and Christina (nee Moore) Goins. Janet was born 6 minutes before her twin sister Joyce. Their older siblings were William, George, Shirley, Jesse and Roger. Janet married Edwin Mossman on Aug. 7, 1954 and they were blessed with 6 children: Janet Marie, Teresa, Richard, Ted, Edwin and Charles. Janet loved children and babysat for many area children. She enjoyed birds and bright color flowers. Family was everything to Janet and before dementia she loved getting out to be with family and friends or to go shopping.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edwin "Moose" Mossman; two sons: Edwin "Donny" Mossman Jr. and Charles "Chuck" Mossman; and siblings: William T., George A., Jesse, Roger Lee Goins, Shirley Snelling and her twin sister Joyce Moser; and two grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory were her loving children: Janet Marie (Rick) Canter, Teresa "Teri" McCoy, Richard Mossman Sr. and Ted Mossman; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Friends will be on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 2 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, Ohio 45233. Jackie Apted will be the Celebrant of the service.
