Jamie Bettis Obituary

Jamie Bettis, of Green Township, passed away on December 8, 2021 at the age 50.  Jamie was born on May 8, 1971 and was influenced by his grandparents Charles and Ruth Spradlin.  He graduated in the class of 1989 from Western Hills High school. He then went to Xavier University and received his Associate degree and became a Xray technician at St. Francis St. George Hospital. While working there he met his wife Debbie Schatz in 1992.  They married May 20, 1999 and he became the bonus dad to Courtney and Josh. Jamie and Debbie grew their family with the addition of Hailey and Savanah.  Jamie loved all of his children and always talked about them while he was at work. He worked at the hospital until 2000 and then in 2003 he started American Mobile Xray Company. He worked so hard to build the company and he decided to sell to Biotech Xray in 2016 and became the Regional Vice President for them until his passing.  In his free time Jamie loved landscaping and doing anything outside.  Family time was so important to him and enjoyed going on cruises with everyone.  He especially loved the banana splits and usually had seconds because he said they were child sizes.

Jamie’s legacy of being a hardworking family man will live on with his loving wife of 22 years Debbie (née Schatz) Bettis; dear children: Courtney (Nicholas) Sulken, Joshua (Brandon Willoughby) McGimsey, Hailey Bettis, & Savanah Bettis; cherished grandchildren that called him “pawpaw”: Mason and Charlotte "Chuck"; beloved mother-in-law: Jackie Schatz; sister-in-law: Kim (Joe) Lambing. He was also a wonderful uncle to Seth and Devon Lambing; dear nephew of Dean (Sharon Pullen) Spradlin; brother of: Jodie Miller Robinson; Step-son of: Jay C Miller.

Preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles and Ruth Spradlin; mom: Brenda (née Spradlin) Miller; and his father-in-law: Tom Schatz.
