James “Jim” Betscher, of Harrison, Ohio passed away July 25, 2020, at the age of 80. Jim was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 21, 1940 to George and Margaret (nee Hautman) Betscher. He married Margaret Jonas on May 26, 1962 and together they were blessed with five children. Jim was a lifelong business owner of Betscher Electric in Harrison, Ohio and an employee of Southwest Local School District. His passion was his family and grandchildren. Jim enjoyed working and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to treasure his memory are his wife: Margaret Betscher; his beloved children: Terri (Dan) Huber, Beth (Jim) Hey, Andrew (Megan) Betscher, Molly (Duane) Betscher, and Becky (Carlos) Munoz; grandchildren: Katie (Mike) Wuestefeld, Lori (Alex) Meierdiercks, Jason (Samantha) Huber, Maggie (Kurt) James, Jacob Hey, Olivia Hey, Lillian & Mae Betscher, Max and Maya Munoz; 6 great grandchildren; sisters: Judy (Al) Schneider and Mary Booker.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents: George and Margaret Betscher; grandchildren: Lucas, Josie, and Will Peak.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Harrison, Ohio. Burial to follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Queen City Hospice or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church through the funeral home. You may bring your donation at the time of the visitation and a funeral home representative will be able to assist you.
