Herbert “Deeter” W. Burlage, Jr., of Sayler Park, passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 70 after a courageous fight against lung cancer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1951, to Herbert W., Sr and Jean (nee Tenhundfeld) Burlage. Herbert got the name “Deeter” from his sister that couldn’t say sweet because he was always so sweet and loving. He became a truck driver and provided for his family. He had three daughters: Angela, Erin and Kimberly. He met Susan Johnson and they were married on October 11, 1995. He became an instant bonus dad to Brian. Deeter enjoyed fixing things and working on projects. His happy place was when he was at Lake Cumberland with family and friends.
Deeter will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 26 years Susan Burlage; his dear mother: Jean Burlage; daughters: Angela (Michael) Hornyak, Erin (Matthew) Flowers, & Kimberly Evans; bonus son: Brian Johnson; cherished granddaughters: Trinity, Tatum, Mackenzie, Destanie & Hope; beloved siblings: Linda (Meril) Todd & Michael Burlage. He was also a wonderful uncle to Doug (Johnna) Todd & Jason (Lindsay) Burlage.
He was preceded in death by his father: Herbert William Burlage Sr., and his sister-on-law: Terri Burlage.
