Frank Alfred Hermsen III, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the age of 68. Frank was born in Munich, Germany on June 17, 1954, to Frank Henry & Edda (nee Kracker) Hermsen. He was in the flooring business for 50 years, owning the business for 40 of those years, and earned the nickname “Carpet Frank”. Frank always had the best stories. He had many adventures in Germany and France before moving to the US with his parents and sister. His dad was in the military, so they moved around every few years and learned the languages spoken in each area. His favorite thing to do was to listen to, and play, music. He listened to a wide range of music. A few days ago, he said his favorite song was "Lucky Man" by Emerson Lake and Palmer. He found great pleasure in gardening, growing delicious food for his family. He loved spending time with his wife, Cathy, and their sons and grandchildren. Frank was a Free Mason for many years. He was a member of the Hoffner Lodge #253 for twenty-one-years as well as a Master of the lodge. Frank loved and respected all his brothers from the lodge, as they did him. He will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts.
