Eric Duke, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 47. He was born on June 16, 1974, in San Diego, California to Kenneth Ray and Mary Esther (nee Aguilera) Duke. Eric grew up in Lufkin, Texas and moved to the Midwest. He was kind, caring, and generous. His generosity included providing and delivering food to shut-ins he knew. Eric was always willing to help others no matter what was going on in his own life at the time. His philosophy was that there was always someone out there in a worse position than him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother: Mary Duke; father: Kenneth Duke; siblings: Anthony (Heather) Duke, Matthew (Annette) Duke; nieces and nephews: Hailey, Aaron, Francesca, Chloe, Charles, Phil and Mark; dear friends: Christopher Littleton, David Gerken, and Clay Newman; aunts: Beverly (George) Alvarado, Carmen Watts, Patti Watts; great aunt: Jenny Nell Corbitt; great nieces and nephews: Isabella, Kennadie, Camden, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his aunts: Bonita Watts and Nancy Watts; and uncle: Eugene Watts.
He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on in those that knew him. If you knew him you know that he always grew out his hair to make the lives of other better. He would donate his hair to Wigs for Kids. So the family asks that if you want to make a memorial in his memory mail your check payable to Wigs for Kids to Brater Winter Funeral Home. They will notify the family of your donation and forward funds to Wigs for Kids.
