Betty Romohr Obituary

Betty Lou (nee Lorenz) Romohr, age 86, passed away Thursday, Sept 17, 2015. Resident of Columbus formerly of Harrison.

Betty was born January 17, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Fred and Elsie (Webber) Lorenz. She met and married Earl Edward Romohr and they were blessed with three girls: Amy, Lee Ann and Jody. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a founding member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Betty was a graduate of Bowling Green State University, and taught home economics in the high school at Talawanda & Ross and also taught for Headstart preschool. She left teaching while the girls were growing up, however when the girls got older she went back to work as a teacher. She loved teaching and in life she taught her daughters how to juggle being a working mother. She would create friendships wherever she went and never met a stranger. Betty enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering. Her family received many handmade items over the years. In the summer months and in retirement Earl and Betty traveled and enjoyed camping all over the United States.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl Edward Romohr in 2008, parents & her sister Jeane Purdy. Survived by her 3 daughters & sons-in-laws: Amy Furash (Jonathan) of Columbus, OH, Lee Ann Verderese (Dan) of Geneva, Switzerland & Jody D'Angelo (Jim) of Bloomfield, MI., 6 grandchildren: Madeline and Benjamin Furash, Olivia, Lucas and Cai Rose Verderese and Lia D'Angelo, & numerous nieces, nephews & their families.
