Jerome Brent Hollis, of Silver Springs, Florida, died and went to heaven March 5, 2018, at the age of 61, after suffering complications from extensive pulmonary illness.
He was born on October 14, 1956 to Richard C. and Sue Hollis. Jerome was a trained professional chef and spent many years as a restraunt setup manager for Morrisons Cafeterias, Jerome had a deep passion for art and antiques, specifically a large collection of Chinese Art, European mid-century antiques and the deepest knowledge for turn-of-the-century furniture. He donated many fine pieces of art to the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, Florida, and many more pieces of his prized collection will be brought there for everyone to enjoy.
Jerome was most generous and kind gentleman who befriended people and loved pets, especially his Dalmatian, Dotty. Jerome had resided in Silver Springs, Florida, since 1991, and was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Hollis.
Those left to cherish Jerome's memory are his mother Sue Hollis, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; brothers: Rick Hollis, of Brookville, Indiana Neal Hollis, of Harrison, Ohio; and sisters: Debra Bicknell, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Patricia Hollis, of Harrison, OH. He will be sorely missed by his family, and specifically his extended family of cousins, uncles and aunts.
A Celebration of his life with Friends and Family will be held 2 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio 45030.
