James Rebel Obituary
James Joseph Rebel, age 64 of Harrison, Passed away on August 6, 2017.
James was born on September 7, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ivo A. and Loraine M (nee Spieser) Rebel. He graduated high school and drafted into the Army and served from August 4, 1972 to December 3, 1973. James married Deborah Mess and they were blessed with 2 daughters Lisa and Laura. He worked for the Pipefitters Union and retired from GE where he took engines apart. James enjoyed fishing, having the latest gadgets, sitting in his hot tub daily and most importantly Boating in Cumberland with his family. There were many wonderful memories made during the family trips.
Those who will miss him most are his daughters: Lisa (Patrick) Newhouse and Laura Rebel; cherished grandchildren: Ashley & Ryan Newhouse; Beloved siblings: Janice Aieta, Jean Paoletti, Joan (Bob) Sucher and Jerome (Sharon) Rebel and a niece and 5 nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents Ivo and Loraine Rebel and brother: Johnny Rebel.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 5 PM until the time of the Blessing Services at 7 PM in Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030. Burial will be at 10 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Arlington Memorial Gardens with American Legion Post 199 providing Military Honors.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes association or Kidney Foundation through the funeral home. www.braterfh.com
