William C. McGregor

William C. McGregor, of Harrison, passed away at his home with his family by his side on June 2, 2021 at the age of 85.  Bill was born on April 14, 1936 in Benton, KY to James W. and Marye (Hooper) McGregor.  He married Genevieve Steely on March 21, 1959.  They were blessed with two children Roger and Carl.  Bill worked at Monsanto for 35 years and retired in 1994.  When the boys were younger, they did many family camping trips with other friends.  He always enjoyed camping with friends.  Bill was active in the Harrison Avenue Baptist Church.  Over the years he helped with many activities and was a Deacon at the church. Bill was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching UK sports and the Reds.  He always enjoyed spending time with his family and special visits from his nieces & nephews and their children always brightened his day. 

Bill was the loving husband of Genevieve “Genny” (nee Steely) McGregor; beloved father of Roger (Melody) McGregor; and the late Carl (Laura) McGregor; cherished pappa of LeAnn M. & David W. McGregor; dear brother of James Thomas McGregor and Wayne Martin McGregor; brother-in-law of Paul (Stella) Steely, Brance (Mary) Steely, the late Rexford (the late Blanche) Steely, the late Earl “Rex” (the late Mary) Steely, the late Glenn (Betty) Steely and the late Bernice Cordell. Bill was also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at HARRISON AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm.  Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery.  Brother Benny Price will be officiating the services. 

Memorials are requested to Hospice of Cincinnati.  Memorials will be accepted during the visitation and service by funeral home representative.
