William R. Carpenter

William R. Carpenter, of Green Township, passed away on May 21, 2023, at the age of 93.  He was born on April 22, 1930, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to Robert and Emma (Nee Millen) Carpenter.  Bill joined the US NAVY and served from 1955 to 1957 with one-year overseas service. He married June and became an instant dad to Linda and Cheri.  After June passed away, Bill married Gloria Budde Kuhn and grew his family with the addition of her 4 children.  He enjoyed good food, especially Gloria's cooking.  His favorite place to eat was Joe's Stone Crab.  Bill was also an avid Bengals fan and enjoyed being outside.  Golfing and taking bike rides and walks with Gloria were a daily occurrence.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife: June Carpenter; parents: Robert and Emma Carpenter; and brother: Robert Carpenter.

Those left to cherish Bill's memory are his loving wife: Gloria (nee Budde) Carpenter; children: Linda Snider & Cheri Oliver; stepchildren: Steve Kuhn, Greg Kuhn, Jeff Kuhn, and Christine Bender; Step-grandchildren: Jason, Jamey, Jennifer, Amy & Dee Dee; sister-in-law: Margaret "Peg" Carpenter; nephews: Robert "Rob" & William Carpenter, great grandchildren and extended family.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
