Virginia “Ginny B” Wade Booker passed away peacefully on Oct 28, 2023, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on July 6, 1923, to Guy Ballenger and Gladys Bertram Wade. She is survived by one sister: Ruth Buster of Albany, KY; daughter-in-law: Kaye Lyons, Spiceland, IN; son: Jack (Gwen) Cato, Florida; Grandchildren: Sandy(Rodney) Dunn, Georgetown, KY; Pam(Dan) Howard, Seymour, IN; Vicki (Doug) Cato-Rosemeyer, Bright, IN; Danny (Tammy) Lyons, Beverly (Danny) Morrow, David (Lisa) Lyons, all from Monticello, KY; Kenny (Laura) Lyons and Lisa (Steve) Buchanan from Greenfield, IN; Tim (Deb) Lyons, Jackson, MI, Lisa (Johnny) Nocks-Howell, Rhome, TX; Brad (Joyce) Booker, Chicago, IL; Carrie (Mike) Hertzberg, Falls Church, VA; Trish(John) Goldsberry and Kim (Ed) Yelton, Manchester, IN. Numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her loving and devoted husband Bill Booker; sons: Bobby, Jack, and Joe; daughters-in-law: Wanda Lyons and Norma Lyons; stepdaughter: Deanna Nocks and grandchild: Thomas Lyons. She also is proceeded in death by her siblings: Gene, Joe, Dickey, Gordon, Nell, Ann and Nita Wade.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Bright Presbyterian Church. She also attended Bright Christian Church and Northside Christian Church in Lexington, KY.
She was a Kentucky Colonel and a huge University of Kentucky basketball fan. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening, but most of all she loved her family and her many, many dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Gibson Cemetery.
