Victoria L. Gaskins (nee Owens), of Harrison Ohio, passed away at home on a beautifully sunny and windy day of April 30, 2021 at the age of 73.
Known to all as Vickey (Tori)
She was a member of the Eastern Star. She completed a degree in Project Management and held several jobs in Communication and was co-owner of her DJ business “Hot Sounds.” Which played for several charitable events including the Mini Heart Marathon, Susan G. Koman Foundation, Gorilla Run, and Wounded Warrior.
Vickey was a long-standing member of Indian Lakes since the early 80’s. She enjoyed feeding the masses, no one went home hungry with extra servings to go, loved having Euchre parties, bingo, and DJ'ing events including raising ever increasing money for Wounded Warrior and a collector of four-leaf clovers and champagne glasses. She loved to celebrate with a Mimosa.
She is survived by her loving husband Greg A. Gaskins, was a loving mother to Dean K. (Karen Ibarra) Klein. Cherished grandmother or affectionately called “Ma'am” to Amanda M. (Matthew Flynn) Klein, sister to Louis (Yvonne) Owens and Jean (Jack) Tichenor. Also survived by sister-in-law Cathryn Owens and many nieces, nephews and the Gaskins family.
Vickey was preceded in death by her father, Oscar H. Owens, her mother, Katheryn E Owens (nee Wilson), and brother Oscar Owens.
Gathering of friends will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison on Thursday May 6, 2021 from 6 pm to 7 pm. At 7 pm we will have Pastor Doug Combs speak and share stories of Vickey.
