We are sad to announce the passing of Thomas Franco of Sayler Park on January 17, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born on December 18, 1939, in Duo, West Virginia to Louis and Helen (Hicks) Franco. He met Delores Simpson and they were blessed with three children: Hope, Tom and Jacqueline.
Tom worked for Home City Ice delivering Ice Boxes all over the country. He was a collector of anything and everything from trucker hats to guns and everything in between. His philosophy was "If it's free it's for me." His kids learned this first hand as they cleaned out the family home of 50+ years of stuff.
He also loved the outdoors. Enjoyed gardening with his neighbor and friend George Ritter and deer hunting by himself or with his son Tommy. Tom also had a soft spot with the birds and squirrels that he fed daily.
Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife Delores (Simpson) Franco, parents, Louis and Helen Franco and siblings: Jack, Bud, Eddie Franco.
Those left to cherish and honor Tom's memory are his dear children: Hope (Steve) Deimling, Tom (JoAnn) Franco and Jacqueline (Robert) Lancaster; cherished grandchildren: Jon Lancaster, Zac Franco and Cody Franco; beloved sister, Margaret Richmond and many nieces and nephews.
