Shirley Y (Hart) Wilhelm

Shirley Y. Wilhelm, of West Harrison, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the age of 76. Shirley was born on February 2, 1946, in Barton, New York to Helen M Van Housen. On June 11, 1994, she married Harry T. Wilhelm. Shirley lived her life to help others. She was a very generous person who went out of her way to assist those in need. She also was an excellent businesswoman and was instrumental in the operations of her family business, Whitewater Freight Inc. In her free time, Shirley loved gardening and traveling with Harry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband: Harry T. Wilhelm; devoted son: William (Lori) Bochkay; and beloved grandchildren: Lotus and Corinne Stigar.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother: Helen Hart and brother: Kenny Hart.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Rd, Harrison, Ohio on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cross Catholic Outreach. A funeral home representative will be available during the services to accept memorials.  If you are unable to attend memorials may be mailed to the funeral home.
