Sandra (Schneider) Harper

Sandra (nee Schneider) Harper passed away on December 20, 2021 surrounded by her family at the age of 79.  

She was born on November 18, 1942 in Cincinnati, to Elwood and Mabel (nee Llewellyn) Schneider.  Sandra married H. Gene Harper on June 27, 1964. She worked at Union Central Insurance Company in Their Group Life division and also worked at Western and Southern.  After retirement she enjoyed taking her grandchildren on vacations.  Special memories were made on her trip with Zach to Hawaii starting on the memorable train ride to California, ship cruse to Hawaii and flying home.  The whole trip lasted 21 days.  Another memorable trip was taking a cruse with Paige and Zach.  The time together was priceless. Over the past year Sandra's health declined and if it wasn't for her son Stephan and daughter-in-law Sherry and Paige taking care of her she wouldn't have been able to stay at home and enjoy being with her family. Sandra also enjoyed camping and sitting outside in the sun.  She was proud of the house that her and Gene built and enjoyed everyday there.  Sandra led by example on how to be calm and how to show love to others.

Many memories will live on in her son and daughter-in-law: Stephan and Sherry Harper;  cherished grandchildren: Zach Harper and Paige Harper; great grandson: Blaize Worley; dear sister: Jacque Birkley; brother-in-law & Sister-in-law: Raymond (Cathy) Harper and Loraine Junk; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Gene Harper; parents: Elwood and Mabel (nee Llewellyn) Schneider; sister: Renee (Gene) Pitz; and brother-in-law: Walt Birkley.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 10 am until the prayer at 12 pm  all in Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street. Harrison, OH 45030. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Hospice of Cincinnati. This can be done at the visitation or funeral service with a funeral home representative.  If you are unable to attend then mail your memorial to the funeral home.
