Sandra Carol (nee Rohrer) Allender, of Harrison, passed away on November 21, 2021, at the age of 74. She was born in Corinth, KY to James and Faith (nee Toole) Rohrer. Sandra got a job at Gulf / Chevron Oil refinery, where she worked as a chemical operator. After Chevron closed, she moved to California for a while, and then later back to the Harrison area. Sandra became involved in being a foster parent and later adopted Zara and Matthew. She had a passion for traveling with family and friends. Her favorite places to travel were Hawaii and Coronado Island in San Diego, CA. Sandra always stayed at historic hotels and enjoyed having tour guides take her to see the sights in the area. She loved learning about the history, culture and the sampling of good food, while traveling.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Ronnie (Sandy)Pearson, Matthew (Carol) Pearson, Amy Jo (John) Baglien & Zara JoAnne Allender; grandchildren: Jesse & Logan Pearson, Matthew Pearson Jr., Kirsten (Andy) Spencer, Jack & Zoe Baglien; siblings: Michael (Pam) Rohrer, David (Janice) Rohrer, Miki Anne (the late Paul) Wiseman; also a wonderful great grandmother and aunt to many.
Sandra was preceded in death by her son: Matthew Allender; parents: James and Faith Rohrer; siblings: Arthur, Daniel, and Bruce Rohrer.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, from 4 pm until words of Remembrance at 6 pm on Sunday, November 28, 2021, which would have been her 75th birthday. A celebration will follow at The Gathering Place, 611 Harrison Ave., Harrison, OH 45030.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Home of Cincinnati and mailed to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio 45030 or brought to the gathering where a funeral home representative will be happy to assist with your donation.
