Robert P Welsh

Robert P. Welsh of Brookville, IN passed away on June 12, 2021 at the age of 91.

He was born on January 10th, 1930 In Logan, IN to John Welsh and Lucy (Spraul) Welsh Liebfarth. He married Dolores (Bollen) Welsh on November 21, 1959. Robert operated the Shell station on South State Street for numerous years, and was employed by Ford Motor Company retiring after 22 years. He was also a life member of the American Legion and was on the Post #199 Honor Guard for 15+ years. His most loved hobby was collecting WWII military memorabilia and doing military exhibits at the Cincinnati History Museum, County Fairs, schools, etc..  Bob was also a big movie buff and had a movie theater in his residence. He was a member of the Harrison Village Historical Society and Recording Secretary for over 15 years. He loved giving tours of Harrison History.  

Those left to cherish Robert's memory are his loving wife Dolores of 61 1/2 years; 3 children: Jeffrey (Pam) Welsh, Gary Welsh, and Lynn (John) Kerr; 4 grandchildren: Tyler (Stefanie) Welsh, Eric Welsh, Ryan (Kylee) Kerr, and Jamie (Nick Bley) Kerr; and 4 great grandchildren: Lucas and Levi Welsh, Conner Welsh, and Royston Kerr, as well as nieces nephews and friends.  

Bob was preceded in death by his parents: John and Lucy, sister: Betty Reed, and 2 great granddaughters: Greta and Ave Kerr. 

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Road, Harrison, OH 45030.  Military Honors provided by the Harrison Honor Guard and the US ARMY will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
