Randal Ketron passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 63. Randy leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, but together for 37 years, Tracy Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ken and Dottie "Dorothy" and brother: Ken. He leaves behind his sister: Jenifer and brother: Tim (Laura). Randy also leaves behind his children: Kristina, Joshua, Brandon and Venessa.
Randy was an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter for many years. He was working at Wendy’s when we first met and then Kirkwood Sweeper Shop. He was a Maintenance Man for Dante’s and Quality Inn. He worked for Lasita Produce then went to his dream job at Cinfab doing what he loved, landscaping and anything that needed to be done anytime anywhere. Randy was a devoted employee. He would do anything, even though it wasn’t his job, to make the company and employees happy. For instance, he would go in at 4:00 am to make sure the sidewalks were cleaned and salted so it would be safe for everyone when they came into work, even though he didn’t need to be at work until 6:00 am. He would get up everyday at 3:30am and be at work by 4:00 am to get everything he needed done like copy paper, water etc. and pull tools for jobs that were called after they were already gone home at 2:30pm so the job sites would get their stuff and be happy. Randy was the Tool Manager/ Receiving Manager at Cinfab. He worked there for 27 years in various positions, as he seemed to dedicate his life to the Grote Family. Randy was elated to accept a new position as a Junior Project Manager for Commercial HVAC.
Randy loved to play jokes on people at work. (He was known as the “Phantom”). He loved making nicknames for people (Mine was “Winkie”). Randy loved watching movies (old time movies, Godzilla, , Marvel, Star Wars and Harry Potter), He enjoyed working outside in the yard and opening pools. He loved going out to dinner at different restaurants (Red Lobster). We would take walks downtown and in the parks all over Cincinnati. His favorite thing was coming home to me every day and telling me how his day was. He would do anything for anyone. He will be dearly missed by all, Mostly by me!
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Following the Memorial Mass, a Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Tracy and Randy for family and friends to come and enjoy food and drinks.
The Grote Celebration of Life will be determined at a future date.
There will be two books available to sign at Mass and at the Grote Celebration of Life, one is a standard register book and the other is a journal for you to record how you knew Randy and/or a memory you have of Randy.
