Mary Helen (Freeman) Arrowood

Mary Helen “Helen” (nee Freeman) Arrowood, passed away on January 31, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born on September 8, 1931 in Forest City, North Carolina to Craton and Minnie E. (nee Hudson) Freeman.  Helen married John D. Arrowood and they were blessed with two daughters: Dianne and Marie. Helen was a long-time active member of Lifespring Christian Church and loved her church family.  She also enjoyed being a mother, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma, who referred to her as “Minnie.”

Those left to carry on her legacy are her daughters: Dianne (John) Case and Marie (Duane) Hall; grandchildren: Shawn (Lisa) Hall,  Lori (Jason) Smith, Kellee (Ronnie Carroll) Case, Brandon Case, and Tyler (Chelsey Kushman) Case; beloved great grandchildren: Kelsie, Brittany, Kendra, Justin, Trenton, Aydan, Andrew, Prestyn, Braydon, Waylon, Jaxon, Dillon, & June; loving great-great grandchildren: Madelyn Ann & Scarlett Rose; cherished sister: Betty Mays. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband John D. Arrowood and siblings: Louise, Wilbur, Edith, Virginia, Robert “Bobby” and infant brother Eugene.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S Vine Street, Harrison on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 10AM until the time of the Private Family service at 11 AM. Followed by the graveside services at Glen Haven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Lifespring Christian Church. You may bring your donation to the funeral and give to a funeral home representative or you may mail your donation made payable to the church to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030.  The funeral home will notify the family of your donation.
