Mary Lou Vantreese

Mary Lou (nee Gorman) Van Treese, of Harrison, age 88, passed away on June 20, 2020 in Lexington, KY. She was born in Cincinnati on March 6, 1932 to the late Louis and Rosemary Gorman. She married Allen Van Treese and was blessed with a daughter Barbara. Mary Lou enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was also an avid reader. Member of the American Legion Auxillary and St. John's Catholic Church.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband Allen Van Treese in 2015; and parents; siblings Martha Humbert and Louis Berman Gorman

Survivors include her devoted daughter and son-in-law: Barbara & Walter Young; cherished grandchildren: Bryony Smith, Samantha & Jennifer Young, & Renee Miller; beloved great grandchildren: Eva Smith, Jaxen Page & Carter Rose Young. Also survived by siblings: Carol Barnhorst; brothers-in-law: Richard & Harry Van Treese and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 26, 2020 from 11am until 1 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial to follow 1:30 pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Rd., Harrison, OH 45030.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Hospice through the funeral home. The funeral home will notify the family of your donation.

Due to restrictions during the visitation and service we will be following social distancing guidelines, and we ask that everyone that if physically able to please wear a mask.
