Mary Barrett Obituary

Mary Jane Barrett (nee Volz), of Sayler Park, passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 101. Mary Jane was born on September 17, 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ernest Sr. and Clara (nee Gray) Volz. She went to Miami University and then was a Elementary Teacher at Charles T. Young School in Cleves for over 40 years. In her free time she enjoyed quilting at Eden Chapel and was an active life long member of North Bend United Methodist Church. Mary Jane also enjoyed cheering on the Reds and Bengals.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest Sr. and Clara (nee Gray) Volz; brother Ernest W. Volz Jr.

Graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on February 5, 2021 at 11 AM. Meet at the cemetery and there will be someone to direct you where the services will be.

Memorials may be made to the North Bend United Methodist Church.
