Larry Lipscomb

Larry Lipscomb, of Harrison, OH, passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born on January 19, 1935 to Ralph & Shirley (nee Edmondson) Lipscomb. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958. He married Carol, the love of his life, May 27, 1983.  He became an instant bonus father of James Howard. Larry enjoyed listening to soft classical music, reading and Being with his friends at the Lawrenceburg American Legion.  Always attended the Navy reunions to be with his friends.  Larry had a beautiful voice and loved singing.  

Survivors include Wife Carol A. Lipscomb; bonus son: James (Becky) Howard; grandchildren: Amanda (boyfriend Jason) Davis, Jennifer Eckert, Jamie Howard; great grandchildren: Cheyanne, Laura, Savanna, John, Marky Keith, Zoey, Kylee, & Annie; Dear sister: Linda (Bob) Fessler. Also survived by Sister-in-law: Connie (Albert) Kichler; Brothers-in-law: Harold (Julie) Hall, Allen (JoAnn) Hall, & Duane (Marie) Hall & Bill Benter, and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Shirley (nee Edmondson) Lipscomb; great granddaughter Alexandra and Sisters-in-law Barb (Al) Posey and Inez Benter.

VISITATION will be Friday, November 27, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10 AM (for individuals with immune/ health issues); public from 10 am to 11 AM at Brater Winter Funeral Home.  All are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines that are in place at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Will be held at 11 AM.  Due to capacity restraints and the Board of Health the Funeral Service is limited to Family and invited guests only.  However, it will be live on Brater Winter Funeral Home Facebook page. See link below in service information.

Graveside: Friends are welcome to join the family at to process to the Graveside Service at Maple Grove. Meet at funeral Home at 11:30 and we will go in procession.
