Juanita Marie (Bremer) Gokey

Juanita Marie (nee Bremer) Gokey, of Guilford, Indiana, passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 91. She was born on April 12, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Calvin Bremer and Juanita (nee Green) Majtan. Juanita married Theodore Gokey, on May 7, 1960. Introduced by her sister-in-law, Juanita said she loved his smile. Family was always very important to Juanita, and she took great joy in caring for them. In her free time, Juanita loved to read, draw, and was very crafty. She was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Juanita’s memory will live on in those that loved her, especially her husband: Ted Gokey; children: Calvin (Peggy) Vesely, Lynn (Jerry Stephens) Vesely, Laura Gokey Kohler, Sam (Melissa) Gokey, Tracey (Jim) Jones, Crystal (Justin) Rankin, Peter (Jamie) Gokey; grandchildren: Cal (Kristy), Jessica (Brian), Rebecca (Cass), Todd Michael, Jerry (Leslie), Jennifer (Joe), Drew (Shawn), Alex (Caitlyn), Rachel (Mike), Katie (Dustin), Lauren, Greg (Autumn), Matt (Meghan), Trevor (Molly), Jamie (Misha), Tyler, Ashley (Tim), Giulianna, Benjamin, Lucas, and Sammy; 18 great grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her son: Toddy Vesely; parents: Calvin and Juanita Bremer; sisters: Charlotte and Jean.

A private visitation was held at their home and burial will occur in July in Wisconsin at St. Francis Solanus Mission Cemetery in Reserve, Wisconsin.
