John O. MacMurdo

John O. MacMurdo, of Harrison, Ohio passed away July 23, 2020, at the age of 65. John was born in Springfield, Illinois on October 18, 1954 to Robert and Mary (nee Studebaker) MacMurdo. In 1975, he married Barbara Beck and together they were blessed with three children. John was employed as a veterinary pharmaceutical operations manager for over 20 years. He was a family man who dearly loved his family and the many children that were in his home over the years. He also loved his St. Louis Cardinals. John was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Barbara MacMurdo (nee Beck); his children: Brian (Becca) MacMurdo, Christopher (Charis) MacMurdo; and Jon MacMurdo; his grandchildren:  Ben, Molly, Will, Fletcher, Tanner, Finnley, and Trace; sisters: Donna Burton and Judy Dodd.

John is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Mary MacMurdo; sister: Beverly Ervin.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on August 1st at 2:00 PM, with Memorial Service to follow at 3 PM. Services will be held at the Harrison Ave. Assembly of God Church, 949 Harrison Ave., Harrison, Ohio. Masks will be required for attendance of services.

Per county health regulations everyone in attendance must wear a mask.  We ask that if you have been feeling sick, please stay home. 

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital via the funeral home website, or you may bring your donation at the time of the Gathering of Family and Friends, and a funeral home representative will be able to assist you.
