Jim "Red" Gordon

James T. Gordon Sr. also known as "Red" was always getting into trouble but he had a heart of gold.  He was born on September 26, 1948 in Milan, IN to Elmer and Viola (nee Hamilton) Gordon.  Red went down the wrong path during points of his life, however, he always took opportunities when they were given to him.  While in prison he got his GED and attended college.  He was blessed with 5 children: James "Jimmy" Gordon Jr., Sandra, Jennifer, Kelly and Tommy.   Red worked many different jobs over the years, met many friends at some of his favorite hang outs and he enjoyed old cars. 

Red's life will be talked about infamously by his children: Jimmy (Corrine) Gordon, Jr., Sandra (Juan) Andaverde, Jennifer (James) Dowers, and Kelly Combest; grandchildren: Adriana, Tony, Alejandra, Kasandra, Katalina & Socorro Alverez, James III & Cory Gordon, Hailee & Savannah Dowers, Dalton & Dakota Combest; great grandchildren: Isaiah, Ryan, Remy, Kairi, Damyn, Dominic & Colton. Dear siblings: John & Don Gordon and Delores Snyder.

Red was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer & Viola Gordon; son: Tommy Gordon; grandson: Valentin Alvarez; siblings: Ernestine Richards,  David, Gene, Richard,& Colin Gordon.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030 on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4 pm until the time of the funeral service at 6 pm.
