Jim Mahon Obituary

Saturday, July 23, 2022, the family of James “Jim” Mahon lost a great husband, father, grandfather, and coach. Dementia is a cruel disease. The Mahon family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

James L. Mahon was born on January 11, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Florence (nee Maley) Mahon. He grew up in Fairmont and graduated from Roger Bacon High School. On May 15, 1965, Jim married Barbara Gail Annis and together they were blessed with four children: James, Patrick, Kathy, and Michael. He retired from Career Center Inc. after working many years as an Engineering Recruiter. Jim dearly loved his family with his grandchildren holding an extra special place in his heart.

Jim’s memory will live on with his wife: Gail Mahon; children: James “Jim” (Kelly) Mahon, Patrick Mahon, Kathy (Bob) Appiarius, and Michael (Danielle) Mahon; grandchildren: Drew and Avery Mahon, Megan and Riley Mahon, Owen and Balor Appiarius, Wes and Finn Mahon; and sister: Mary Helen (Connie) Groth.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Florence Mahon; and brother Kenneth (Gail) Mahon.
