Jerome "Jerry" L Sellet

Jerome "Jerry" Louis Sellet, of Miami Heights, passed away on March 14, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born on October 13, 1933  to Oscar and Alma (nee Fischesser) Sellet.  Jerry worked for Wurster Builders and then became the owner of Sellet's Trustworthy Hardware. He instilled his sense of integrity, work ethic, family orientation, and kindness to his children: Melody, Lisa, Krista and Matthew.  Jerry married Nancy (Keene) Sellet in 1978 and he became a bonus dad to Jeff, Paula, David “Eric”. Jerry taught his children many things about home improvement and construction, and was their go-to expert on home renovations.  He enjoyed everything GOLF - playing it, watching it on TV, and taking golf trips with his buddies.  He also loved traveling with Nancy, going on cruises, hanging out with family and playing cards with friends. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North Bend.  

Jerry will be dearly missed and his legacy will live on with his devoted wife Nancy (Keene) Sellet; beloved children: Melody Clark, Lisa (David) Turner, Krista (Shawn) Sherman, Matthew Sellet; bonus children: Jeff (Angie) Daugherty, Paula (Patrick) Frank, David Eric (Kari) Daugherty; cherished grandchildren: Courtney Clark, Angela (Christopher) Baezcruz, Nathan (Nicole) Hail, Dylan (Amber) Turner, Matthew Sellet, Madalyn Sellet, Sean (Absa Gassama) Sellet; bonus grandchildren: Jordan Daugherty, and Haley Daugherty; Great grandchildren:  Joshua, Olivia & Peyton, Isabelle, Pete & Miguel, Chase, Brooke & Avery, Alaina & Drew; 2 great great grandchildren: Maya and Omari; Siblings: Jack (Penny) Sellet, Dan (Sharon) Sellet, & Carroll (Ray) Harrigan, brother-in-law: Jim (Joan) Keen, and sister-in-law: Lu Sellet.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents:Oscar and Alma (nee Fischesser) Sellet;  and brothers: Oscar and Bill Sellet.

Visitation will be at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave., Sayler Park, on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:30  AM with Fr. Andrew Umberg officiating.  Burial to follow at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery.
