Janis H. Myers, of Green Twp, passed away December 27, 2021, at the age of 76. Janis was born on December 30, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio to John E. and Helen J. (nee Brinkman) Henkel. She married Chuck Myers and together they were blessed with two children: Julie and John. Jan graduated top of her class from the University of Cincinnati with a master’s degree in computer programming. She excelled in her career as a computer systems analyst, where she remained in this field until retiring from Fifth Third Bank. Jan was a member of the Grand Chapter of the North Carolina Eastern Star for more than 25 years. In her free time, she was an avid reader, and loved her Cincinnati Reds, Pepsi, hotdogs, and Oreos. Jan was a very laid back, kind, and loving person. She was always there if you needed her, even if it was just to listen or give support. Jan was loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her loving children: Julie A. Garvey, and John R. (Tina) Garvey; grandchildren: Joshua R Garvey, Bradan A. Joerger, Keenan N. Garvey, Cullen J. Garvey, Caylee N. (Nathan) Voltz, and Bryce M. Garvey; great grandchild: Holton A. Voltz; sister: Judy Krollmann, and brother: Ron (Sandy) Henkel.
Janis was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Chuck Myers; parents: John and Helen Henkel; and brother: Frisco Henkel.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio, on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 11:30 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Baltimore Pike Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital in her memory. A funeral home representative will be present to accept memorials during the visitation and funeral service.
