James J. Sizemore

December 15, 1943 ~ August 22, 2021 (age 77) 77 Years Old

James Sizemore Obituary

James J. Sizemore, of Sayler Park, passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 77.  He was born on December 15, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Taylor and Cora (nee Campbell) Sizemore.  Jim served in the US Army.  He married Grace Maury on September 25, 1964, and they were blessed with 4 children: James, Kimberly, Tricia and Sherri.  Jim worked for General Motors and was a member of the VFW post 6716, which merged with the VFW post 7570 and the American Legion Post 534.  He was also a member of the McMillan Masonic Lodge 141 and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He loved being an active grandparent, taking them to school, or fishing. 
 
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 57 years: Grace E. (nee Maury) Sizemore; dear children: James T. (Ivy) Sizemore, Kimberly (Dale) Cornes, Tricia Gauslin, and Sherri (Barry) Reed; cherished grandchildren: Valerie Sizemore, James A. (Chevelle) Sizemore, Amanda Perry, Alicia (Phillip) Wilson, Troy Cornes, Jared Gauslin, Matthew Reed, Steven Reed, and Clinton Gauslin; beloved great grandchildren: Dri, Tony, Cora and Larrissa.  Also survived by his siblings: Rosemary (JR) Grubb, Bonnie (Ron) Picconi, Norma Sizemore, and Curtis (Terri) Sizemore; sister-in-law: Kathy Sizemore; and many nieces and nephews. 


Preceded in death by his parents: Taylor and Cora (nee Campbell) Sizemore; son-in-law: Christopher Gauslin; brothers: Charles, Bill and Freddy Sizemore. 


Visitation will be on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Eden Chapel United Methodist Church, 150 Dahlia Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45233 from 10 am until the time of the Services at 12 pm.   American Burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery with Military honors. 


In lieu of flowers memorials to American Legion 534 or McMillan Masonic Lodge. Memorials may be brought to the visitation and given to a funeral home representative.
