J. Richard "Dick" Wilson, Jr.

J. Richard “Dick” Wilson, Jr., of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 5, 1941, to J. Richard Sr. and Mildred (nee Morgan) Wilson. On September 15, 1962, Dick married Mary Ellen Kraus, and together they were blessed with two children: James and Gregory. Dick selflessly invested himself to many volunteer projects throughout his lifetime. He served as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for 50 years. 18 years as a volunteer at the Deer Park Fire Department. He also was a faithful volunteer at the various Catholic Churches he attended. His hobby was model railroading. He was a volunteer track inspector for the Whitewater Valley Railroad for many years. Faith and family were very important to Dick. He leaves behind his loving wife: Mary Ellen Wilson; devoted children: James (Nancy) Wilson and Gregory (Penny) Wilson; beloved grandchildren: Kristen, Michelle, and Eric Wilson; siblings: Sharon (Leo) Hutton and Charlene DeCondé; sisters-in-law: Jane (Jerry) Nieman and Rosemary Kraus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents: Richard Sr. and Mildred Wilson; brothers-in-law: Jarvis DeCondé and Charles Kraus.

Visitation will be held at All Saints Parish – St. Martin’s Campus, 8044 Yorkridge Rd., Guilford, Indiana 47022, on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Meeting at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 2:30 pm for burial.

Memorials may be made to All Saints Parish or St. Jude Hospital. This can be done online, through the funeral home at the visitation, or you may mail your donation, made payable to the charity, to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio 45030.  They will notify the family of your donation and mail into charity.
