Harry G VanTreese, a devoted father, beloved grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023, at the age of 85. His departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Born on March 22, 1938, in Cincinnati, OH, Harry was the son of the late Verle H. and Avaneel (Simonson) VanTreese. From a young age, Harry displayed a kind and compassionate nature, always putting his family first. As the only man in a house full of four daughters, he embraced his role as their rock and protector, cherishing every moment he spent with his girls.

After graduating from high school, Harry proudly served his country in the Air Force, enlisting on April 26, 1961, and honorably discharged with the rank of A1c on February 22, 1967. His dedication and service to his country were exemplary.

Upon returning from his military service, Harry embarked on a successful career as a Technician in the manufacturing industry, specifically with the esteemed company, P&G. For 38 years, he devoted his time and expertise to the organization, ultimately finding his true passion in the Coffee Division. Harry's discerning palate and knowledge of coffee beans earned him the reputation of a connoisseur in the family.

Outside of work, Harry discovered solace and joy at his cabin in Wisconsin. Whether it was casting a line in the peaceful waters, tending to his garden, or hand-feeding the deer that frequented his yard, Harry found tranquility and contentment surrounded by nature and loved ones.

Harry was predeceased by his parents and his brothers: Richard (Ellen) VanTreese and Allen (MaryLou) VanTreese; son-in-law: Raymond Fisher.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his favorite daughters: Melissa (Rob) Urbanski, Laurel (Rob Downing) Fisher, Pam (Bob) Donohue, and JoAnn (Rod) Fisher. Harry's memory will also be cherished by his beloved grandchildren: Jacob (Meg) Urbanski, Zachary Urbanski, Alex (Mike) Allen, Eleni (Logan Weiss) Fisher, Rachel (Tyler) Wilson, Seth Donohue, Nora Donohue, Catie (Jonathan) Hohman, Cass (Nick) Rupel, Lia Fisher, and Ronni Fisher. He was blessed with great-grandchildren: Claira, Ella, and the baby Urbanski on the way, Masen, Leo, Henry, and the baby Allen on the way, Melina Weiss, and Emmett Hohman. Additionally, Harry is survived by his honorary sons, Ken (Connie) Bolte and Mike (Kathy) Bolte, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry's warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be cherished. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his resilience, and the love he bestowed upon all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH on December 8, 2023, from 5 to 7 pm. Military honors, provided by the Harrison Honor Guard and the US Airforce, and prayers will conclude the visitation starting at 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Harry's memory to Hospice of Cincinnati.
