Eugene "Gene" J Matho, Sr.

Eugene "Gene" J. Matho, age 74, of Harrison, passed away on June 14, 2020. He was born on December 24, 1945 in Scharding, Austria. Eugene married Marilyn Angst and they were blessed with two children: Eugene Jr. and Cara. Eugene studied at the University of Cincinnati and he also worked at the Hamilton County Building Department for the first part of his career. Eugene had his own Architectural Design company for many years. Eugene was a chartered member of the Harrison Moose Lodge 2633. He enjoyed working in the yard, boating, and camping. Most important was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife Marilyn (nee Angst) Matho; dear children: Eugene Jr. (Ashley) Matho, Cara (John) Buerger; and his cherished grandchildren: Eigen Matho and Maria Buerger.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030. The first 1/2 hr of the visitation will be for older individuals & those with health issues.

Entombment will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) www.kidney.org or Matthew 25 Ministries www.m25m.org.
