Dennis "Butch" Brown

Dennis Lee "Butch" Brown, of Okeana, passed away on Feb. 8, 2023.  He was born on July 9, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carl and Marjorie (nee Cobb) Brown.  He joined the US Marine Corps in July of 1959 during Vietnam. and was discharged in 1963 as a Ln Cpl.  Butch went to work for the Railroad as a Engineer.  Butch loved to drag race and he enjoyed all of the friends he met over the years. Butch also enjoyed watching any car races on TV or in person and loved taking care of his animals. He was a great mentor to all of his family and always took time for his family and friends. 

Butch is survived by his daughter Natalie (Joe "Byrd") Carle; grandchildren: Randi, Richie, Mike (Alex), Race, Kara, David, & Gretchen.  Great grandchildren: Mason, Leo, Henry, Felicia; Siblings: Rick, Alice, Barbara, Tracy & Elaine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends: Ronda & Al.

Preceded in death by his daughter: Chris Rowe; parents: Carl & Marjorie Brown; siblings: Marlyn, David, & Larry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 199, 10700 Campbell Rd, Harrison, OH 45030 on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 12 pm until 6 pm.
