Daniel R Hering

Daniel R. Hering, of Harrison, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 60.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 21, 1963, to Robert G. and Margaret (nee Tierney) Hering.  In his youth, Daniel enjoyed fishing, but his main hobby was sports. There wasn’t a sports-related question for which he didn’t know the answer. He was a proud supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. He also supported his local teams, Harrison Youth Football and Harrison High School sports.

Survivors include his siblings: Tammy and Peggy Ann Hering; nieces & nephews: Erica (Scott) Kovacs, Doug (Stephanie) Hering, Stacey (Jason) Powell, Mandi (Jared) Vogelsang; Cherished great nieces and nephews: Landon, Cameron, Cohen, Madison, Rylee, Ricky, Kennedi, Harper, Luke, Samuel & Asher.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Margaret “Peg” Hering; sister: Debbie Hering and dear brother and sister-in-law: Dennis “Denny” and Debbie Hering.  

A Celebration of Life with food and refreshments will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030 on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4:00 pm until Words of Remembrance at 6:30 pm.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to one of the following charity’s:  William Henry Harrison High School Athletic Boosters, Diabetes Association, or American Kidney Foundation. A funeral home representative will be available to help with memorials during the celebration.
