Charles "Pocky" William Moak, 80, Naples, Florida joined his wife in heaven on June 18, 2021.
Charles was born in the small town of Mt. Vernon, Ky to his mother, Gertrude Holcomb, and his father, Frank William Moak. As a child, he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He met his sweetheart in high school and entered in the Army soon after. When he returned from his military duty, Charles began his life-long career as an electrician for Monsanto. For thirty-seven years he worked endlessly to provide a fulfilling life his family and to obtain a retirement home in Naples, Florida where he could fulfill his dream of spending time on the beach and on the links. Charles adored his family, especially his late wife Claudia, enjoyed spending time playing softball and cards with his friends, set the bar sky high when it came to having a work ethic, knew everything about everything (according to his grandson), and was our rock. Charles had a witty sense of humor, was an extremely giving person, a genuine caregiver, and had many four-legged fur buddies in his lifetime, too.
Charles is preceded in death by his late wife, Claudia Rae Moak and parents.
He is survived by his son: Kevin Christopher (Laura) Moak; daughter: Regina-Marie Moak; grandson: Matthew John (Jackie) Moak; great-grandson: Camden Charles Moak; sisters: Linda Campbell and Sherry (Verdell) Meade; and brother: William Moak; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 10:30 am at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030. Graveside services to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation through the funeral home.
