Carol A (Keller) Whitaker

October 13, 1936 ~ November 9, 2023 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Carol Whitaker Obituary

Sharing love and taking care of others was Carol's greatest achievement in life and on November 9, 2023, Carol Ann (Keller) Whitaker went to be with our Lord at the age of 87.  Carol was born on October 13, 1936, in Cincinnati to Edward and Edna (Grothaus) Keller.  She graduated Seton High School and married Joseph T. Whitaker on April 14, 1959.  They were blessed with three children: Julie, Jennifer and John.  She was a stay-at-home mom that took care of everything and then some.  When her children were older, she got a job at Mount St. Joseph College, where she worked for over 20 years.  Carol was a devoted servant to Christ in the Catholic Church and was a dear friend to everyone she met.  She put others' needs above her own and in her spare time she made prayer shawls to comfort those in need.  Taking care of others was her calling in life.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of over 63 years Joseph T "Joe" Whitaker; daughter: Julie Haubrock; parents: Edward and Edna Keller; identical twin sister: Jean Abrams; nephew Jim Abrams and sister-in-law: Jane Snow.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Jennifer (Mark) Hoerst and John Whitaker; son-in-law: Bob Haubrock; cherished grandchildren: Timothy (Stephanie) Haubrock; Stephen (Danielle) Haubrock, Daniel Haubrock, William (Melanie) Hoerst, Joseph (Danielle) Hoerst, Jessica (Jonny) Casey, Nick Whitaker and Emmie Whitaker; loving great grandchildren: Beau & Roman Casey, Julianna Haubrock, Mia & Ella Hoerst; treasured nieces: Lynn Doll, Chris Gates, and Tricia Eby.
