Obituary

Betty (nee Ragar) Quatkemeyer of Harrison, OH, passed away on February 15, 2022, at the age of 99.  She was born on October 19, 1922, in Harrison, OH to Bernard and Mary (nee Wise) Ragar. She was the eldest of her siblings.  Betty married Norb Quatkemeyer Sr. and they were blessed with 4 children: Carole, Lois, Herm and Dennis. She dearly loved her children and enjoyed the many sports, games and activities through the years.  Betty enjoyed Bingo, trips to the Casino, working crossword puzzles and watching the Reds, Bengals and Xavier Basketball. She was a life time member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison, being baptized at the old church on Hill Street, receiving first sacraments and graduating grade school at the church on Park Ave., and attending services in the new church on Carolina Trace Road. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Norb Quatkemeyer, Sr.; grandchildren: Sheri Leeker and Dennis Leeker; great grandson: Marcus Jackson; Parents: Bernard & Mary (Wise) Ragar; siblings: Mariann Bybee and Clyde "Cappy" Ragar.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Carole (Eldon) Huey, Lois (Larry) Flora, Herm (Margie Harvey) Quatkemeyer and Dennis (Gina) Quatkemeyer; Cherished grandchildren: Terry (Marcy) Jackson, Gary (Shannon) Jackson, Kim Thompson & Michael (Pinky) Combest; beloved great grandchildren: Terrin Jackson, Alex Jackson, Grasyn Jackson, Jordan Thompson, Abbey Thompson, Morgan Thompson; and dear sister Alma Rudisill.  

Services will be Private with a burial at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
