Barney J. Haley

Barney J. Haley, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away July, 15, 2020, at the age of 65. Barney was born in Lynch, Kentucky on January 10, 1955 to Bill and Gladys (nee Smith) Haley. He married Susan Hays on October 11, 1985, and they were blessed with one son: Richard. Barney loved nature and especially fishing with Susan. He also loved to travel. They purchased an RV and spent 4 years travelling the United States. Barney was also talented musically and could play any instrument put in front of him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife: Susan Haley; beloved son: Richard Haley; grandson: Ryan Haley; brother: Joe Haley; sister: Bette Maples; sister-in-laws: Glenna (Rob) McKee, Yvonne (Dan) Hayes, Diana (Ron) Booth; treasured friends: Martha Williams and LeRoy Frogge, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barney is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Gladys Haley; father and mother-in-law: Garrett and Winnie Hays; Granny: Lacy Nichols.

A Celebration of Barney’s life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
