Ronald W. Nusekabel

Ronald W. Nusekabel passed away at his home on March 5, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born on August 14, 1941 to the late William and Ruth (nee Uphus) Nusekabel. Ron served in the US Air Force from June 1960 to Dec. 1963. He married Joyce Leisgang after dating for 5 years on April 18, 1964 and they were blessed with 4 children: Connie, Amy, Doug and Becky. Ron worked as a plumber pipe-fitter for Local 392 until his retirement. He was very active in the Harrison community. Ron was Chairman of St. John's festival for 21 years, and also active on numerous other boards over the years at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Harrison Council #2633. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and also being outside working on his yard.

Survivors include his loving wife Joyce Nusekabel; dear children: Connie (Mark) Chase, Amy (Bill) Luipold, Doug (Nikki Peace) Nusekabel, Becky (Todd) Grandstaff; cherished grandchildren: Matthew (Brittney) McFadden, Kelli McFadden, Brittany Luipold, Brandon Luipold, Ashley (Jake Taft) Nusekabel, Jared Nusekabel, Samantha Grandstaff, Alexandra Grandstaff and bonus grandchildren: Brad Chase, Lyndsey Chase; wonderful great grandchildren: Madison, Karsyn, Brody McFadden, Isaiah Taft and Camdyn Troxell. Also survived by brother Daniel (Patricia) Nusekabel and brother in law and sister in law: Dennis (Gail) Leisgang and Shirley Reuter and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth Nusekabel.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 10010 Carolina Trace Road, Harrison, OH 45030. Burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Harrison Honor Guard and the US Air Force. Father Jeffrey Kemper officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or the Harrison Fire Department.
